Patience is really golden.
Let me tell you this story. There was this Nigerian doctor that studied medicine at University College London. He graduated and later worked for two years at the collage of medicine UNIBEN. Thereafter, he got a job offer at the University of Ghana and worked there for nine years before he visited Nigeria.
When he visited Nigerian, he was driving and had an accident. Unfortunately, the victim died. He was later charged to court and remanded at the prison pending his trial.
While in prison, he met some robbery gangs and heard about their deeds. How they snatch luxurious cars; sell them and make millions of naira.
The doctor was amazed and decided ditch his medical carrier and to join arm robbery so as to earn faster living.
After his release on bail, he began stealing cars with his gangs. It didn’t take long he was arrested again.
In the words of Calvin Coolidge,
Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not. Nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not, education will not. The world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent”.
Do you know the price you pay for being successful? It’s patience. Nothing good comes so easy. There is no shortcut to succces.
Don’t be so impatient in life. Avoid the mistake this doctor made. See how he landed himself to prison again just because he was so impatient; he wanted to be successful by all means forgetting that patience is the key.
According to Geoffrey Chaucer, patience is a conquering virtue. Patience is power.
Patience is not an absence of action;
rather it is “timing”
it waits on the right time to act,
for the right principles
and in the right way.
I know patience is bitter. Heck! It’s frustrating but then the outcome is worth it.
There is no rush in life.
Have a fullfilled day ahead.
