Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) champions, Rangers International FC of Enugu have to decided to hold on to their title-winning coach, Imama Amapakabo, by handing the gaffer a new contract.
The Enugu-based club thrashed El-Kanemi Warriors 4-0 in their final game of the season to win the league title for the first time in 32 years.
A new contract is to be giving to Amapakabo after the expiration of his previous one at the end of the season.
“We’re talking about plans for the next season as regards preparation for the CAF Champions League and the domestic league,” Charles Ndukwe, Enugu State Commissioner for Sports in Enugu told Complete Sports.
“Even Imama himself said on Sunday that what is uppermost in his plans now is adequate preparation for next season.
“That alone confirms that he is willing to stay as we are determined to work with him because continuity is key to success.”
